Installation instructions for Gem for Pure-data
===============================================

Gem currently comes as a fat binary for both ppc (G4 and above) and i386
(MacIntel).
There is currently no (working) native binary for the x86_64 (64bit MacIntel)
architecture.
This means, that on newer systems (OSX10.6 and above), you will need to have a
32bit compatible PureData, in order to run Gem.

copy the contents of this folder (without this README.txt) into a directory that
Pd-will search for:
EITHER
 ~/Library/Pd/  (User-specific installation)
OR
 /Library/Pd/   (System-wide installation)

after copying you should have a directory like
 ~/Library/Pd/Gem/examples
 ~/Library/Pd/pix_drum/

if you use an older version of Pd (Pd-vanilla < 0.43; Pd-extended < 0.42), Pd
might not automatically search these folders.
In this case, just add the folder you installed Gem into to your search path.
