Enter the names and e-mail addresses of those who will be submitting letters of recommendation. Up to 3 letters of recommendation are permitted. Where appropriate, one letter should be from a supervisor who can attest that you will be allowed time and, if applicable, resources to work on the project. The other letter(s) should ideally be from experts in fields related to your project who are familiar with your project and can attest to its significance.
After you have made requests to those writing in support of your application, enter their information below and press the Save & Continue button at the bottom of this page. An email message with instructions on how to upload recommendations will immediately be sent to each person you have listed. (Letters of recommendation are uploaded in a separate, password-protected section of this Web site.) You may leave this section blank for now if you like; press the Save & Continue button each time you add a new listing (email will not be re-sent to previous listings). It is essential to ensure the accuracy of email addresses you enter. Be sure to request letters from those writing recommendations before entering their information in the application system.
Note: Letters of recommendation must be submitted by October 18, 2007 (3 days after the application deadline). If necessary, you can send reminder e-mail messages to those you have asked to write on your behalf by clicking on the "Recommendation Reminder" feature, which will appear after you fill in names and e-mail addresses below. Immediately when you click the Recommendation Reminder link, the same e-mail message sent earlier will be sent out again to your recommender, with "Recommender Reminder" in the subject line.
